Lok Sabha polls are right around the corner! With 91 constituencies going to polls in Phase I on April 11, opinion polls have piqued curiosities across the nation. It’s more like a T-20 match with seven overs, isn’t it? Team Neta brings you the latest seat forecast for the first over, which is Phase I. Let’s go straight to the numbers!
Neta App seat forecast: Phase I of Lok Sabha polls 2019
Let us begin our innings from the south where Andhra Pradesh and Telangana go to polls as two separate states for the first time. While TRS is likely to continue its winning spree in Telangana where it’s leading in 14 out of the 16 seats, YSRCP is likely to bag around 20 out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.
Moving to the other states and union territories- in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Congress is likely to lose its seat to the BJP. Arunachal Pradesh appears all set to repeat its 2014 result with one seat each to the BJP and Congress. Similarly, Meghalaya and Sikkim are likely to repeat their 2014 verdict. Nagaland and Mizoram appear to be in mood for a change though. Congress is likely to lose its Mizoram seat to the MNF, however, the compensation for it comes from Nagaland where it could wrest the seat from NPF. In Uttarakhand, BJP is likely to lose one seat with its current tally standing at 4. Congress, on the other hand, could gain one seat in this state where it drew a blank in 2014.
